Skill assessment for cook processing time

Applicants from some countries may need a TRA assessment. Is there anyone who recently pass the skill assessment as a chef or cook from vetassess. I have year full time experience as a cook. Processing time varies depending on the skills assessment program and other factors , such as whether all required documentary evidence has been provided.

How to use skill assessments? You may need to obtain a positive skills assessment from TRA. Skill Level: The entry requirement for this occupation is an AQF Diploma or higher qualification.


Chefs have first established a case as Cook ( year apprenticeship) and at least years relevant experience as Chef there after (a total of seven years ). This is the process by which you can make use of your skill assessments and analyze the data you gather through it: 1. You do not need to complete a skills assessment if at the time of application you held a Temporary Work (Skilled) visa (subclass 457) or Temporary Skill Shortage visa (subclass 482) for the nominated occupation and in order to be granted that visa, you were required to demonstrate your skills by providing a suitable skills assessment. The most important hard skill chefs need is an ability to cook , as well as knowledge of the kitchen.


This broad skill includes a variety of smaller skills , including knife and tasting skills. Chefs need to be able to cook precisely and efficiently. They also need to be skilled at recognizing flavors and judging the balance of seasonings.


This can be quite time -consuming, but can be quite helpful when your client is motivated. Finally, we note that each skill assessing authority will specify its own processing times and fees for completing the skills assessment.

It is important that you check this information well in advance of submitting your application to ensure that you allow enough time to comply with any deadlines that apply to you (for example, you may have a pending visa expiry). Our current processing time is approximately business days if all required documents have been received. Factors such as incoming volume applications may affect this time. Should further supporting documentation be require your assessment will be placed on hold until they are received.


Your skills assessment must have been obtained in the years before the date of your invitation. If the assessment was for a shorter perio that period must not have passed. If your skills were assessed on the basis of a qualification you got in Australia when you held a student visa, the qualification must be from studying a course registered on CRICOS.


If the validity period shown on a skills assessment is less than years, the assessment is valid for the period stated on the assessment , If the validity period shown on a skills assessment is more than years, the assessment is valid for three years from date of assessment.
